About Us
Hello! I’m Ailsa, the founder of Moss Botanicals Edinburgh, a micro flower farm and floristry business based at Rosemains Steading in Pathhead, just outside Edinburgh. What started as a back garden passion project during Covid has since grown into a full-fledged flower farm, where I grow sustainable, chemical-free blooms that are as beautiful as they are kind to the environment.
Before diving into the world of flowers, I spent years immersed in creative work - photographing for brands including Jura Whisky and Visit Scotland, studying fashion, and running an online homewares store, as well as curating several local makers markets. These experiences have always fuelled my passion for creativity, my eye for detail, and my deep love for the Scottish landscape. They’ve shaped how I approach flower farming, blending artistry with nature to create something truly special.
The demand for locally grown flowers has never been higher, and I’m proud to be part of the vibrant Scottish flower farming community. Supporting local farms like mine not only helps preserve the landscapes we cherish, but also reduces our carbon footprint, ensuring the flowers you receive are as fresh and sustainable as possible.
Whether you’re looking for this week’s Friday Flowers, a bespoke bouquet, planning a wedding or event, or simply have a flower related question, I’m here to help!
